SeedTech

Urban Tech's SEEDTECH program makes it easy for community-based organizations to establish a state-of-the-art Computer Training Center (CTC) and to begin teaching sought-after job skills.

We provide you with a completely packaged, ready-to-use facility, backed by Urban Tech's proven training, source materials and support. Since 1995 we have installed more than 100 CTCs nationwide. Each center has provided jobs for local community residents, whom we train and certify as instructors in our user-friendly, nationally-acclaimed curriculum. They in turn provide computer job training for other residents, helping to prepare their communities for full employment in the 21st century.

On-site Pre-installation Consulting Services
Urban Tech professionals visit your location and meet with staff and community stakeholders to help you develop the best programs and services to meet local needs. Once needs are determined, we create a strategic implementation plan.

Quick Implementation
Once your equipment arrives, our technicians install your hardware and wire the local area network needed to connect the instructor and participant workstations.

Community Training
Your staff and pre-selected community members will be thoroughly trained to teach computer literacy in an on-site workshop. Urban Tech certifies teachers in our curriculum and techniques, and issues an instructor toolkit that includes everything needed to lead our carefully developed program.

Customized Curriculum
Our curriculum is customized to the needs of each community and is available in both English and Spanish.

Technical Support
Urban Tech provides one full year of technical support to ensure uninterrupted operation of your CTC. The support covers all the system components, including operating system software, application software, workstation hardware, LAN software and hardware, telecommunications and Internet access.
