Weed and Seed
Funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Operation Weed and Seed is a multi-agency strategy that "weeds-out" violent crime, gang activity, drug use and drug trafficking in targeted high crime neighborhoods. Weed and Seed then "seeds" the targeted area by restoring these neighborhoods through social and economic revitalization. Urban Tech offers comprehensive computer courses that give adults in the Weed and Seed communities the fundamental skills necessary to prepare them for employment the 21st century. Bronx CTCnet
Bronx, NY - Urban Tech and the Bronx Community Technology Centers Network (CTCnet) provide high tech computer learning centers, teacher training, and technical assistance to seven centers in the Bronx. Funded by the Department of Education, the program potentially improves computer competency and strengthens student academic performance so that Bronx youth and their parents may become better prepared for 21st century jobs. To achieve its goal, the partnership uses Urban Tech's curriculum and training materials - written in English and Spanish - that is accessible to the majority and sensitized to the ethnic characteristics of the urban community.

New York City Housing Authority
New York, NY - Since 1999, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has used Urban Tech’s curriculum in five computer training centers in Brooklyn, Harlem, and Far Rockaway to train more than 1,500 NYCHA residents. Participants of this successful program have acquired skills in networking, pc maintenance, and computer applications. The majority of the program’s participants have been placed in full-time positions such as PC installers, technical help desk support, web developers, repair technicians, and LAN technicians. Urban Tech’s courses offer the computer skills and sense of confidence that participants need in seeking long-term employment opportunities.

Baltimore, MD - Funded by the U. S. Department of Labor, the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development has created the following five Youth Opportunity (YO!) sites in Baltimore's East and West Empowerment Zone (EZ) areas. The goal is to increase employment and high school completion rates and to improve the long-term economic well-being of youth within the EZ communities. Urban Tech provides software for computer skills training, life skills development, and mentoring as part of this initiative.

Enterprise Foundation
Baltimore, MD - The opening of the Parent Pentium Project Computer Lab marked a significant breakthrough in linking inner city students and parents to the world of information and computer knowledge for Baltimore's Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. Sponsored by the Enterprise Foundation with contributions from the Annenburg Foundation, the Computer Lab's courses teaches participants computer skills in demand by employers and explore the possibility of participants starting their own businesses. Beyond basic computer skills, participants are also taught life skills such as resume building and budgeting income.
 
Beacon School Community Partnership
Harlem, NY - Administered by Urban Tech in collaboration with four community-based organizations who sponsor the Beacon schools, the program provides the latest hardware, software and high-speed Internet access to 720 students and over 2,000 community members. The program aims to improve computer literacy and provide training in job skills to students in Community School Districts 3, 4, 5, and 6 in Upper Manhattan. This program drew major contributions from corporate partners, including Chase Bank, Time Warner, and IBM.
