Pre/Post Quizzes for all YLA Modules
YLA is providing another important tool for demonstrating program outcomes. All participants in the program will be asked to take an online quiz at the start of each module and then take the same quiz at the end of the program. The quizzes, called First Answer (pre) and Final Answer (post), are designed to allow participants to demonstrate, and program coordinators to observe, changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behavior toward the learning goals central to the life skills topic resulting from the YLA program.
The results of the quizzes become part of the participant portfolio and can be viewed by all program staff. Participants also can view their own scores by accessing their portfolios. This is a great way to show your funders and sponsors the value of running the program in your school or community.
Modules on STD/AIDS Awareness, Substance Abuse Prevention, and Healthy Habits already have the pre- post-quizzes included in the curriculum. Now the Team Building, Self-Discovery, Personal Appearance, Conflict Resolution, Community Involvement and Personal Relationships modules have been upgraded to also include the pre- post- quizzes.
