May 01, 2002 KANSAS CITY, KS  -  The YWCA of Kansas City will provide Life Skills and computer literacy training through Urban Tech's Youth Leadership Academy (YLA). An initial group of 600 girls will enroll in YLA, which will enable them to join the workplace equipped with specialized knowledge and marketable work skills.

Mar 01, 2002 BALTIMORE, MD  -  Urban Tech courses are offered through five computer-training centers in the city. The U.S. Department of Labor, through its Youth Opportunity Program, is providing $11 million in funding to support this three-year initiative.

Jan 01, 2002 MONTCLAIR, NJ  -  Montclair High School has selected Urban Tech's Youth Leadership Academy program to use in educating the school's Special Education students. Montclair administrators enthusiastically endorse YLA as "the best curriculum they've seen in 20 years" in raising the level of achievement in Special Education pupils, many of whom are from low-income, minority backgrounds.
