What if a child loses his or her pedometer?
Each classroom will receive 3 extra pedometers. It is up to the teacher’s discretion as to whether they would like to replace the student’s pedometer or not. We encourage each student to label their pedometer when they receive it so that if a pedometer is lost, you know which student is responsible.
What if a child cheats in order to increase their steps?
The teacher is able to use their discretion as so whether they would like to discount the steps that the child obtained on the day they were caught cheating, or if they would like to disqualify the student from participating in the entire contest. If a child is disqualified, the class totals will decrease and the class will be at a disadvantage.
