In this course, participants acquire necessary skills for using spreadsheets and to create visually appealing reports. After completing the five modules, participants use spreadsheets to build an understanding of the time value of money, be more productive in a work environment and enhance their personal computer use.

Spreadsheets Fundamentals
|
|
In this introductory module, participants create a personal folder, copy files from the network to their folder, identify the main parts of the Excel window and retrieve an existing spreadsheet.

Shopping List
|
|
Participants create formulas to calculate their expenses. In this module, they learn page setup techniques, insert and delete columns and rows, create and edit spreadsheet formulas, and change, add, and delete spreadsheet entries.

Surveys
|
|
Participants learn how spreadsheets can be used to analyze survey data and to create charts. They use statistical functions, create bar and pie charts, insert a new worksheet, adjust column widths and edit charts to show data in different ways.

Budgets
|
|
In this module, participants use spreadsheets to analyze budgets, track their financial status and create financial reports with charts. Participants link multiple worksheets, create combination charts, hide and unhide data, freeze panes in the Excel window and use shortcut menus.

Money Management
|
|
While working with concepts such as time value of money and cost of money, participants learn how a spreadsheet can be used to help with financial decisions. They insert a series, use financial functions and absolute references in formulas and print multiple worksheets.
